It was a Holiday Inn..and they let it gown down hill. It is now called the Waterfront Inn. The minute you turn the corner from the lobby it's all down hill from there. Wallpaper coming off the walls, the door in our bathroom was coming apart. It looked like it had been stapled,glued and painted many times. Finger prints on the walls and something that looked like mold..could have been dirt on one of the walls. Had an adjoinning room and and could hear the man next door coughing! Delta now owns this property and they have just started renovating it. Let's hope they do a proper job on it. The property has great potentional to be a beautiful hotel. The pool is very large. The nicest thing about this property was the shower curtain..looked fairly new and the towels were actually big and fluffy!!!!..

Unfortunately Sault Ste. Marie is in dire need of some new hotels or at least one !!! this place is probably the best of the worst in this city.......Great location but it goes downhill from there. I don't think they have spent a red cent in here since the 80's and that is probably when it was built. It just simply is so outdated and just does not have a comfortable feel.........It will do for a sleep because there is no other choices really. I would like to say " go see for yourself" but please don't. If you don't have to stay overnight in this city...........don't. Hope I am never back.

C'mon management start renovating.........If any new hotel opens up in this city you are screwed. Spend a litte money.

Not too bad of a hotel. Rooms are quite dated and not the nicest looking. However they were fairly clean. The view is awesome! Its in a great location close to everything. However it does need a little bit of an upgrade to make it more modern. Overall not too bad.

I was on a motorcycle trip around Lake Superior and stayed a night here. I road around town a little looking for a place to stay and this was the best as far as I am concerned. The view from my room was wonderful.

The staff was very pleasant and even allowed me to park my bike on the sidewalk under the canopy that covered the entrance.

I hope to visit Sault Ste. Marie again and when I do I will stay there.
