Please be warned, do not book this hotel, well, dump! We booked with hotwire, got this hotel, read the reviews and though it cant be that bad.. can it?? Yes, we checked in, dirty reception, stained carpet. Went into the room and the smell just hit you. It was like something had died in there, and weed all over the carpet before it did. i am not exaggerating, I have travelled the world and stayed in some dumps, but not this bad. I had an air freshener and sprayed it which made it 20 times worse! I could not stay in that room. I went to reception and asked for another room, it was that bad (room 111 by the way!). The lady on the desk gave us another room which was better but still not worth what we paid. Please dont book this, if you get it htrough hotwire like I did, cut your losses and go somewhere else, i am going to try and get a refund when I get home cos it was no way a 2 star, I wouldnt even give it 1 star. Please, please be warned. Everything in the room was dirty, the bed had hairs in it, the sink and bath were full of scum, and the "breakfast", well, you really wont want any after a night there. We stayed cos it was late at night and on a freeway, nothing much else around. Good luck.

Should have known by the dirty, smelly carpets and the pot-hole riddled parking lot that this was going to be a cheesy dive. Plank floors in hallways and paper thin walls make this hotel very noisy. Rooms are dirty, the air conditioner kept freezing up, no appeal inside whatsoever. Pool was nasty looking and the hottub was slimy. If you want to sleep at night, this place is not for you! Paid way too much and management didn't seem to care of the complaints. Way over priced at even $60 per night although we paid over $100. No one staying here anything good to say about the place.

Only shining star was the sweet lady working in the breakfast area who should be promoted to top management in hopes of saving this sinking ship. Her service and kind words were genuine and service second to none.

EVEN IF IT'S YOUR LAST RESORT SLEEP IN YOUR CAR OR SET YOURSELF UP FOR A BIG DISAPPOINTMENT.

“A budget-conscious alternative to Niagara hotels”

We stayed at Prudhommes Inn on a recent spur-of-the-moment trip to Niagara Falls. We had some challenges finding it the first night because signage in Canada isn't that great. There is a HUGE parking lot, scarred with potholes and there were only 2 cars in it when we arrived. The photos that we saw of the hotel online showed a Day's Inn sign, but the hotel didn't have that sign or one that said Prudhommes Inn either. Between that and the general look of abandonment, we thought we were not at the right place. However, upon entering the building, we were greeted by VERY friendly and helpful staff and a nice looking lobby.

The hotel room was clean, but nothing fancy - exactly what we were expecting. The pool looked kind of nasty and the "workout facility" consisted of 3 stationary bikes on a piece of carpet by the pool (all the bikes appeared to be at least 15 years old and none of them were in working condition). The hot tub was great though and they have a very nice continental breakfast every morning (including a make-your-own-waffle station!).

It's only a 15 minute drive from the Falls, and right on Lake Ontario in the middle of wine country. There is a really lovely restaurant called The Lake House just down the street that the hotel staff recommended to us. It felt more relaxing to us to stay in that area than the hustle and bustle of Niagara.

Overall we felt the hotel was in line with the price we paid.

Were the hell do I start???

The outside is disgusting, no locks on the outside doors, floors in hallway smell like someone died there and the rooms are no better!!!

We had a group stay and there was a problem with water not shutting off in one room, box spring broken in another room, no plug for the microwave....the list goes on and on.

I would suggest you find another hotel!
