Stayed here twice in the last six months. Rooms are clean and comfortable (I always get a suite for the fridge and microwave), but baths are tiny. Location is excellent for my needs. The on-site garage is miniscule, but there's a nice public garage across the street for $15/day, which I think is very reasonable for a prime urban location. (And it fits my Navigator, which some of the top hotels do not!)

The location is probably the only good thing about this hotel.
We made our reservation through Expedia with a request for a King size bed if available at check-in. Upon checkin, Ana the front desk agent seemed tired, overworked and in a terrible mood. She had not read the request, and the only answer she could give was that the hotel was full and no changes were possible. OK point taken! She then handed me keys that did not work. I had to walk back down to the desk to get them replace. No apologies from her.
Later, I needed to access the 'Free Wireless Internet Access'. That did not work from the room. I had to walk down to the desk, be told by Ana that 'I must be doing something wrong'. The hotel connected me with the technical support desk of their internet provider, with whom I had to resolve the issue myself. In any case, there was still no access from the room - only from the lobby.
The bathroom was dirty. They were marks of urine on the toilet seat. The sink was wobbly, the bath tub had dirt marks, the shower head had no pressure, a light bulb was broken in the bathroom and we had to ask for a replacement.
Overall this was not good value for money. We do not recommend this hotel.

We booked three nights here so we could attend the CNE. It was a last minute booking and it was tricky for us to find as Charles is a one way street - we didn't turn when we should so we had to circle around a bit. Once found, I was a little dubious just looking at the outside of it. But once inside, all those doubts went away. Beautiful, professional looking lobby. A great reception from the desk clerk, she offered us a view of the park from the 10th floor. We went upstairs to find the room - beautiful! Big! and lovely. Lots of room to move around, unlike a stay at another hotel in Toronto. Excellent location to get to the subway at Bloor and Yonge (Just look for The Bay - its right inside). There are lots of coffee places in the area that we tried for breakfast - we didn't choose to go to the restraunt downstairs from the hotel but ventured out instead. Restraunts along Yonge as well - easy to walk to. I'll add this is a gay friendly area too. While there are adult bookstores in the area, and a nude dancing parlor across the street (not a brothel as someone mentioned, and its set back quite a ways so its not in your face) we felt quite safe in the area. There is nearby shopping and a walk thru the park is lovely. Excellent location. You'll find indoor basement parking - it was $19 a night for us, but just be aware there are only 20 spaces. Bring your smallest car too - its a little tight. I did notice a big public garage across the street and I suspect (but do check) if they fill you can park there as well. Beds are very comfortable. Bathroom is small, but beautifully decorated. Only slight inconvenience is where the toilet paper holder is - its behind you so you really have to reach. Showers were great. Our outlet didn't work in the bathroom - there are few outlets in the entire room - when I mentioned it to the desk, it was addressed that day. Nightlight provided was a nice touch. Windows on the park side provide a excellent view of the buildings at night. The price was very reasonable. I'd highly recomend staying here, with kids or not, and we'll definitely be back.

Just got back from a 2 night stay at the comfort inn. It has a GREAT location - just one block south of Yonge and Bloor. Given the area the price was quite reasonable as well. Apparently they also offer weekly rates if you call them directly.

I was upgraded to a 2 room suite for no extra charge. The lobby was in great shape and the staff was very professional. There is on site parking with in/out privledges for an extra 20 bucks - not a bad price.

I didn't see any mice or rates!

I will definitely be coming back on my next business trip to Toronto.

We booked this hotel for my wife's parents 10 day stay while visiting from England to see their new great grand-daughter.

We selected this hotel because we stay at Comfort Inn's regularly, and for it's GREAT LOCATION.

Prior to booking a room, we checked out the hotel . The building looks old on the outside, but surprisingly clean and recently renovated on the inside.

The location can't be beat. You are a few steps from the subway, and only a block from the centre of the city, Bloor & Yonge.

On the third night of their stay, they found a visitor in their room...A RAT! A quick call to the front desk had them relocated to a suite, which they remained in at no extra cost for the remaining 6 nights.

The staff are very professional, and willing assist with any request. However, due to it's downtown location, and it's close proximity to numerous restaurants, perhaps an exterminator should be added to their staff.

Overall, a pleasant stay with one understandable but distressing, problem, professionally handled.
