My husband and I booked a two bedroom suite for a weekend with some friends of ours. When we checked in they asked to charge our card before we even went up to the room. (This is highly irregular since most hotels charge at check-out) When we got to the room we discovered that it was just a room. One room with one bed. We went back to the front desk, sure that this was a mistake and we were told that this was a "different configuration of the same rate." We told them that we did not plan on staying in this room (four people- one bed) and checked out. It has been two weeks and about twenty calls to the manager and we still have not been refunded. Not only did we have to try to find two rooms or a two bedroom suite at 7pm on a friday, making international calls while our cell phones were roaming but now the manager is just messing us around. The hotel is nice. We have stayed here before but the management holds absolutely no regard for customer satisfaction. The last time we stayed my friend cut off the tip of her toe on their jacuzzi filter and some of our items were stolen in the jacuzzi area by a bunch of drunk teenagers and the manager offered no compensation. Not even an apology. I would go back to the grand if it were purchased by a major hotel chain.
