We chose to stay at the Days Inn as it is close to the Tunnel to America. We were visiting Detroit and did not want to stay there.

The hotel was undergoing some construction work (November 2007), so we were given a permit for a parking lot next door instead of on the property itself.

The front desk clerk that checked us in was new, and was being assisted by a colleague. She was friendly and appreciated our patience.

The room we had was large, clean and warm.

There was a computer terminal in the lobby which was free of charge.

Breakfast was included, consisting of cereal, bread and bagels, pastries, juice and coffee.

We found the neighbourhood to be safe, although we did find Windsor to be a bit of an odd town, designed to attract Americans over the border with Cuban cigars and casinos.

There were some drunken college kids checking out of the hotel as we were, but had we not seen them we wouldn't have had any idea they were staying there.

I thought the hotel was great. It is really a college dorm it seems, but that is probally because it is cheaper then most places. It is great location if you plan on going club/bar hopping and doing lots of partying. You just walk through the parking lot and everything is there. The hotel security is pretty relaxed as long as you don't get to outta control. It is a little over priced I think personally, but hey it's a good place to crash if your just looking for somewhere to crash after partying.

“Worst night EVER!!!”

My fiance and I stayed at the Days Inn for one night. We went to Windsor for the night to celebrate a friends 30th birthday at Papa Cheneys. We did not have reservations, and they were good about getting us a room.
We knew the hotel wasn't the classiest, but we also knew we just needed a place to sleep. Well, first off, our room was missing a comforter on the bed, and had dirty sheets rolled up on the dresser. We thought that was kinda weird, so we started looking around the room more. I also noticed that the air conditioner had just been painted. Yes, wet paint (which, by the way when I turned on the a/c to get some air, stunk up the whole room with paint fumes).

So. just as i'm realizing I now have brown paint all over my finger, the door bursts open , with no warning, and in walk two maids. They apologized and then told us that they never should have given us this room since they were not finished cleaning it, which was apparent. So, whatever, that was fine, they were nice and very apologetic. They took the dirty sheets and put the comforter back on the bed and left.

Now, my fiance and I are very patient and tolerable people. We rarely ever complain about anything. Those little things, to us, were no big deal. But this was the last straw.....On our floor some fraternity was staying the night as well. They were loud during the day, I mean we're talkin doors open, yelling, running around, etc....But, whatever right, it was still early in the day, again no big deal. So, we went out, came back from the bar around 1am, only to find that the Days Inn had turned into Spring Break in Cancun. Kids were drinking, boys were yelling, the girls were screaming, they were running around, slamming their doors and banging on walls etc. I called down to the front desk twice only to be told they had no security, and they are aware of the problem. So front desk offered no solution. We got no sleep whatsoever, and what little sleep we did manage to get, was disturbed early in the morning to some sort of contruction/repair in the hallway. We opened our door to find all sorts of debris all over, cardboard matts on the carpets, and stuff ripped down from the walls.

SOOO, long story short, we payed 134$ to stay in a dirty frat house. We should have just slept in the car.

FYI: Like most of the reviews here, if you're 18 and you're looking for a hotel to party in and be annoying without getting kicked out: Days Inn is for you. You can drink all you want, slam doors, yell at all hours of the night, and do god knows what else and no one seems to care.

But, if you're looking for a place to get some if any type of sleep, shell out the extra money for a room at the Hilton.

We stayed here after visiting and calling a bunch of other motels/ inns/ hotels in the area. This was the cleanest and best smelling (just in the rooms, the halls smelt a little like a public washroom) in the area. The price was a lot better than other hotels and inns of the same quality. They have complimetary breakfast at 6:30am until 9:30am which includes coffee, tea, juice, muffins, bread, bagels, cream cheese, peanut butter, jam, and some bakery treats (danishes). They also have a free shuttle to and from the casino. The front desk staff were very nice and very polite. The cleaning staff were exceptionally nice. They asked us if we needed anything, if the room was clean enough, etc. I would go back here again!

I normally dont write reviews but i read some on here and it prepared me so i only thought it would be fair to do the same. The hotel was average except fo the guest. Ha, I am 26 years old and I dont think I seen anyone over the age of 30. The rooms are clean and the staff is great. I wouldnt suggest taking a family there or going there for a nice quiet evening...cause thats not going to happen. It felt like a college dorm house which was fine with me because I was there to party. The hotel is in a perfect location for all the bars, clubs, and places to eat. The casino is about 5 blocks and it isnt a bad walk. IF you are looking for fun...go there.
