This was the worst experience I've had at any hotel.
the rooms are really dirty and miserable for the price you pay.this place is not recommended.

The staff, the rooms and the location are just great. The rooms are small but you don't stay on St. Denis to spend time in the room. Hotel and reception begin on the second floor of the building so steps could be a problem for some.

just got back from 5 days in montreal (and a day trip to QC).
a friend and i stayed at anne ma soeur anne, and i just wanted to give my two thumbs up! i thought it was a fantastic location; well-placed, close to the metro, a cute, clean, cozy 'hotel' that doesn't even seem like a hotel. i loved that it was right on st. denis (we faced the street) and i felt surrounded by hustle and bustle (without being annoyed by too much noice, lights, etc). service was friendly and everyday i looked forward to opening my door to their tasty croissants. i recommend and i would stay here again, especially if you're not looking to spend a fortune on a hotel!

This small hotel sits in the middle of several blocks thick with bistros, restaurants, coffe shops, boutiques, and bookstores. Walk out in the morning for breakfast or stay up late dancing the night away in a club. You can easily spend the whole day people watching and exploring the unique shops up and down Rue St. Denis. We actually found this to be the best part of our trip! The rooms are very small (fits no more than a bed and a small desk, literally) but are incredibly clean and have everything you need, including a small fridge. Light sleepers may want a room that is not facing the street. Besides price and location, which can't be beat, service is very friendly and helpful. Not your typical hotel either in looks or service and highly recommended for those who are tired of the sterile environment of large hotels.
