I was very impressed with this hotel. The staff were great and very helpful. The rooms were well appointed and cozy. Very clean. A little noisy, but not unexpected on Rue St Denis. Like the other review said, you don't stay here to sit in your room. Really close to the metro, great shops and fabulous restaurants. Try the Pied Au Cochon if you really want to spoil yourself but make a reservation. The jazz club downstairs was a little noisy but hey, you have a jazz club in basement of your hotel. The fresh croissants on your door knob in the morning were amazing.

Clean and quiet top floor room w/ queen bed. Outside terrace w/ sun and shade, w/ garden table, chairs and hammock). Tastefully decorated. Complete and up to date kitchenette. Bathroom spotless and up to date.
Inexpensive off street parking.
We stayed 4 nites during jazz fest / world cup period.
Very responsive front desk staff.
It is now our first choice.

I stayed at this hotel with my husband. Everything about this place was terrible. The ceiling was leaking, it smelled of mold. I asked for a better room and the guy at the desk said 'I don't have they key to the good room.'

Anne Ma Soeur Anne is in a fantastic spot on Saint-Denis street that is full of great restaurants and boutiques. We paid for the garden view room since we wanted a quiet night sleep, however, we were placed on the first floor near the lobby. Few people were noisy, but we could hear people walk by all the time since the floors are creaky(the back of the bed was against the wall that was next to the hallway). That's my only complaint - everything was so clean (I'm very confused by the other Feb 9th review, I've never been in a cleaner hotel in this price range!) and it was so nice to get croissants in the morning. The staff was so nice and helpful too. I would definitely stay there again!
