Stayed in Old Quebec for the weekend. A blizzard came through and we ended up having to stay another night because the entire airport shut down. The hotel was very nice and very accomidating. The location is great, a very short walk to everything. The breakfast in the morning is a great touch too. They all recommended several restaurants, all of which were very good.

Set in the middle of the walled city. On rue St. Jean about 3 blocks from the St. Jean gate.

Rooms are clean well kept.

Staff is very friendly

A large common area with fireplace, piano, computer with internet.

In the morning, a basket hanging on the room door with Brioche, jam, cheese, juice and fruit cup. Altogether a wonderful experience.

Visited this Hotel in February. It was my second visit and they have made upgrades since my visit last spring. There is a new elevator and a new fireplace in the lounge. I travel on business to Quebec city and was able to get the same room that I had on my previous visit last spring (301 -a standard room type). It is not a very large room but I was very impressed by the quality and comfort. The room had been upgraded with a decent flat screen TV, new bathroom, custom (built -in ) desk, ceramic tile and laminate floor, the stone wall was revealed but refinished and the bedding was a comforter wrapped by three sheets. I particularly like finding this type of bedding in hotels as I believe it is much more hygienic. The room was very quiet.
This hotel offers some extras included in the room price - breakfast basket, internet, movies and local phone calls. It is well situated in the old city. The staff are personable and helpful if you need any arrangements made. From my research online I found this hotel to be very competitive in price considering the quality and location. I recommend this hotel.

We stayed at L'Hotel du Vieux Quebec for 4 nights over New Year, and were very pleased with the experience. The location is fantastic - right in the centre of everything - and the hotel is charming.

Our room was larger than I'd expected, complete with a sofa/coffee table seating area and a spacious bathroom. All spotlessly clean. A breakfast basket outside the door each morning was well received. The front desk staff couldn't have been more helpful. All in all, a definite 'will return'!

Also, don't miss the great cafe/bistro on the premises. It isn't owned by the hotel but is a great spot for casual (and very French) lunch or dinner.
