This hotel (classed 3-star but should be 4) is truly exceptional. The hotel is really beautiful from the outside. The inside is as better. The bedrooms with 2 queen (not double) beds are comfortable. The room service is good and everything is clean. The doors are quiet, so you don't hear people entering all night. The breakfast served downstairs is really REALLY good. You have everything you would want. It's not just a little continental breakfast. You would think you're at the restaurant and the lady working there is really nice and friendly. The restaurant on the site is really good and is not expensive, a normal good restaurant where you can eat everything at good prices. I really enjoyed the 2 nights I passed at this hotel.

We stayed at the Mormandin, Quebec city in August 2004. The hotel is magnificent and we were extremely happy with the rooms and service.

Breakfast is a lovely continental spread with cheeses fruit pastries etc.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Normandin! The staff was very professional, yet had a very personal touch. We inquired at the desk about a particular activity (dinner cruise, bus tour, restaurant), and the staff was on the phone making reservations for us-without even requesting!!! We have never experienced such wonderful service at any of the other hotels we have stayed at (and there were MANY). We feel that this hotel should be rated at least a 4 star hotel. The hotel is conveniently located (within 10-15 minutes of attractions), and the room accommodations were wonderful and spacious. The quality of the drapes, plush carpet, very expensively made duvet cover, and beautiful furniture, alone constitute 4 stars! The breakfast buffet was also nice (which was complimentary), and we were greeted each morning by warm smiling faces. There also was complimentary tea, coffee and hot chocolate in the lobby (nice little areas arranged for conversation), which we enjoyed in the evening with our friends. We will return to this hotel, and highly recommend it to others. If you want to experience a truly friendly staff (that also speaks english), and have your needs met, then this is the place! I can't say enough nice things about it!!!
