Me and my boyfriend stayed at Hotel Sainte Anne for a weekend during Carnival. We booked well in advance and figured that we would spend a little more and get a really nice room in this boutique hotel. Unfortunately, our money would have been better spent elsewhere. Upon entering the hotel we were overwhelmed by a very bizzar and nauseating smell that drifted all the way through the lobby and into the elevator. When we got into our room we could have sworn that it was a completely different hotel than in the picture. There were no stone walls, the room was the size of a closet and there wasn't even a window. Besides from being small there was no place to put our clothes other than two hangers hanging beside the tv and there was an awkward window that looked into the entire bathroom. It made it very uncomfortable since the window looked directly towards the toilet and was right beside the bed.
In addition to our disappointment with the room we were told that there would be a complimentary breakfast each morning of our stay. "Breakfast" was a large understatement since what welcomed us in the morning was a basket of stale bread, pre-packaged muffins and bruised fruit. Several other items, including the juice and coffee had run out and it took the only waitress for the entire restaurant over 20 minutes to bring out refills.
Overall, our experience at Hotel Sainte Anne was very disappointing and if you are looking to splurge for a nice romantic weekend getaway I would advise that you look elsewhere.
