We had nothing but the best service from everyone at this hotel during our stay the week before Canadian Thanksgiving. The hotel is beautiful set in a quaint villiage surrounded by picturesque views of the St. Lawrence. Although it was a long drive to get to, and have to take a ferry from one side of the Sagunay River to the other, it was well worth the trip. The rooms were clean, and comfortable, the beds were cozy and made up with lovely linens. The food at the buffet dining room both nights was very good, with lots of selection, that was tasty and fresh. We did not eat at other restaurants at the hotel, but did have drinks at the lounge one night, and were pleasantly surprised that there was live entertainment. The hotel has a lot of history, as shown by old photographs throughout the large lobby area, with plenty of seating, and views of the rolling lawns over looking the bay. We booked our "whale watching" excursion from the people at the desk in the reception area, and were well looked after. A shuttle picked us up in front of the hotel, and took us directly to the pier to get on the boat. We were very happy to have seen several whales during our excursion, and were entertained on the boat by a very enthusiastic whale expert who helped us indentify each whale we saw. All in all, a great stay, and successful whale watching. Would recommend this to anyone!
