We were visiting relatives in the area so as we needed somewhere near to them and as we have a rather large boisterous puppy we were prepared to have to put up with whatever we could find.
The Bell is brilliant - clean, spacious rooms, well-heated (even in October we found we had to turn it down), and as it was seperate to the pub we found it ideal for the dog.
Dexter the pub dog , acting as 'meeter & greeter', is a gentle giant and the owners and staff are very friendly. Great breakfast and all round good value. Village is very friendly - use the local shop and help to keep one of the few remaining rural shops to stay in business.
