We had a group of 10 people with 5 rooms pre-booked. Although we were all overseas guests it took over 30 minutes to check us in. We were the only ones at the reception desk at 11.30pm.
At the breakfast buffet even way before breakfast closing time the serving bowls were nearly always empty - we have stayed in hotels in Australia, Asia and Europe and have never witnessed this before. We would actually have to ask the restaurant staff could they please bring out more fresh fruit etc as otherwise you would have to scrape the bowl to get any food.
There were 2 chefs who cooked congee / eggs / omelettes to order. These were of the expected standard.
Our room stunk of cigarette smoke. When we complained they brought up an electric vaporiser which dispensed a fragrance masking the smell rather than actually ridding it.
When we checked out, my elderly aunt was charged US$25 for a room window blind she had apparently broken - the hotel staff would not budge on this and as we were leaving on an international flight we had no choice but to pay it.
I can hardly believe this hotel calls itself 4 - star - I've had better service in a 2 star motel.
The only good things about this hotel are it's location near the Greenhills markets and shopping plaza. There is very cheap massage available in the arcade next door.
