Sure there are stresses when you are setting up meetings and bringing people in from out of town, sometimes plans change last minute, you need more than you asked for or sometimes less than you thought. Well the Holiday Inn got that - we even had to cancel a meeting and accommodations for 10- (executive board room- perfect by the way) for two days- the day before the event. The hotel was completely flexable.

The rates are great - the facilities just right, and personally I think the beds a great!

Location was great for me, however, the lower floor rooms is like a 2-star motel and A/C was not working even after a maintenance replaced it with another dirty air conditioner unit. It was too late into the night after giving the 2nd air unit a chance to cool, so I can only complain again in the morning. Was upgraded to the Executive floor the next day, which is beautiful and renovated, as I recall staying on that same floor a few years ago and it was not as nice back then. On even higher levels, they also have the Priority Club floor, which I imagine has very nice amenities as well.

It was a pretty nice room for the price that we paid. I would say it would be $$ amount for the hotel. The room was big and there was free wireless. It was close to the places that we wanted to go to. Which was the Chinatown in Markham and Richmond Hill. The staff was friendly and approachable! We need to borrow a wine key and some forks and they were willing to help! Our experience was overall pretty good. It was also clean!

This hotel misadvertises its star level. It says it is 3 star. While it has some nice rooms floors 8 and up, its other rooms fall well below the 3 star level. Those rooms mostly have stains on the carpet and bathroom floors. They have the unattractive and unsanitary tan-colored blankets that don't get washed between guests. My room had a shower curtain that was so old it was in shreds. There was a bad stench pervasive in the floors 7 and below.
As long as you have no requests or complaints, the staff are friendly. As soon as you complain about any issues such as the above, their attitude changes from friendly to one of pure obnoxiousness.
If this hotel is 3 star, then I don't know what the hotels like Marriott Courtyard, F airfield Inn, and Hilton Garden Inn are. If they are 3 star and this hotel is also 3 star, there is something seriously wrong with this hotel ranking system. It is not fair to those other hotels that provide 3 star accommodations in ALL their rooms and not just some, and that provide 3 star service. I have even stayed in some 1 and 2-star level hotels like Motel 6 and the Days Inn with nicer rooms than the majority of the rooms at this hotel, which is a shame.
