This is a pretty good place to stay but nothing out of the ordinary, everything worked fine as far as hot water, air conditioning, tv etc. we did have a coutyard side room on the 2nd floor which did require climbing about 10-15 steps wich is no problem but for someone aged or not in the greatest of health this might pose a bit of a problem...You have to walk outside to get to the pool/gym area but also right past people having diner or lunch you almost feel liked you're being gawked at and the facilities are bare minimum. The gym equipment was limited to 2 treadmills (1 out of order) 1 bike and free weight dumbells.
We never ate at the hotel as the prices were a little high, but there are lots of restaurants nearby that can deliver or pick up is very easy and close by car. There is even a Tim Hortons/ Wendys Macdonalds within a 2 min drive.....
Getting to Banff is a piece of cake and very short ride, directions are very well marked out and easy to follow.
My only complaint about the hotel was that we put in for a 2:30am wake up call and never received it. Luckily we had set the in room alarm clock and even awoke before that but never the less we had an early flight to catch and would have missed it if all we relied on was that wake up call.
Overall this was worth what we paid especially compared to the prices in banff for a comparable place with the same amenaties
