I booked this hotel using points so got the room for free. I ended up with the back halway broom closet room, very oddly laid out, no artwork, really icky atmosphere. I guess you get what you pay for??? I won't stay here again..... The service at the front desk was not bad, hotel was full so maybe that is why I got the dungeon? I really think you should try a different hotel.

Things here were ok, but my, but room seemed to have a funny smell. I also sat in the Dining room for breakfast where I sat next to a table of employees telling stories about angry customers. The hot tub was out of order which was a bummer. I did like the sleep number bed and the room had the nicest TV I have ever had in a hotel room.

We stayed here for two days to visit Banff national park. Although we normally don't pay prices for a hotel, we were satisfied because the hotel was very luxery. The room was nice and we liked the beds very much. There was the possibility to make your matrasses more soft (or hard)
There was a lovely garden wich was illumnated at night. The inside pool was very good. Nice warm water, nice tub and nice steamroom!

Although we thought this was a very good hotel we thougt is was a bit to expensive.

Canmore itself was a very pleasant surprise. We chose it as a base for Banff and Lake Louise as it was 12 miles away and the hotels were about half the price of Banff. This hotel is in a lovely setting being about a 10 minute stroll from the town centre. The room was spotless and the beds had electrically controlled adjustable mattresses for maximum comfort. A word of warning for the poor nicotine dependant people(like myself) - the hotel is completely non-smoking - I found no reference to this in any brochures etc. The reception staff were very pleasant.
