First, when booking we were told by the Radisson website that the only available rooms were two bedroom suites. We arrived to an empty hotel. The hotel then demanded a $250.00 anti-smoking deposit just in case we broke their no smoking law. Upon checking out we were told that this was actually a damage deposit. Without a doubt this was the filthiest room we ever stayed in. The oven had food on the inside of the door, and what looked like melted cheese at the bottom. I moved the sofa looking for another power outlet and could not believe the filth! It looked like years of garbage. There were brown spots on one of the pillows that could be scraped off with your finger nail. In one of the bedrooms it looked like something was splatted on one of the walls and ran down in drips. The furniture was worn and shabby. The tub had water spots on the tub surround.
The pool area was only accessible by going outside. We were only staying a short time and had hauled up a ton of stuff when were discovered the shortfalls. Since we needed high speed internet for business we decided to stay rather than look around at a late hour.
We did receive a 50% discount from the bill after complaining to the management. If you are going to the Canmore Banff area, do not stay here. There are many great hotels in the area. Do not get roped in my the Radisson name on this one. AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE!
