Okay, maybe this isn't the swankiest place you'll ever stay, but for our needs it was ideal. The surrounding mountains provide a great view, there's a walking path along the river one minute away, and all the charms of downtown Canmore are right there at your doorstep. The office staff was very friendly and courteous and the room was clean. The beds were large and comfortable; I noticed that the mattress was a Simmons Beautyrest and it certainly provided a good night's sleep. We spent one night there at the beginning of our trip and liked it so much that we re-booked for a couple of extra nights on the end of our trip. I found the Bow Valley Motel to be a pleasant and affordable choice in the beautiful Banff area.

Two times my husband and i have stayed approximately 5 days...we love the location, on main street, access for shopping, mountain view all around...river right behind the building.The room was adequate, simple but clean with a fridge, the staff were very courteous and helpful...all in all we found both stays to be very enjoyable,,,occassionally there is a bit of street noise at night....as canmore is one of our favorite places, we will definately choose the motel again. very affordable for us and has been enjoyable staying there, thankyou
