“A little paradise in the Canadian Rockies”

Mt. Engadine Lodge

24 Feb 2008

My spouse and I had a fabulous time at Engadine Lodge. Everything was great! The rooms were nice and spotless. They've just been renovated. The food was absolutely delicious and we had plenty! We wanted to bring the chef back with us to Calgary. The people we met there were very interesting. Most of all, the managers and all the staff were awesome: Chris and Shari-Lynn, Colette, Linda...just to name a few. They really made us feel at home. Engadine Lodge is a great place to hike, snow shoe or cross-country ski with wonderful views of the beautiful Rockies. It can be relaxing too, sipping a glass of wine, reading a book by the fireplace, singing by the piano... We'll go back for sure. We strongly recommend it!

We stayed here for a couple of nights on a touring holiday from UK. Wow what a place. Great food, great company , great views. We have been slow to add this recommendation because we don't want others to go and spoil it. We hope to go back and stay again in the winter.

“I'll be back”

Mt. Engadine Lodge

5 Oct 2007

The staff at Mount Engadine know how to combine comfort and service with a relaxed and homey feel. I spent 5 nights at the lodge photographing the moose who frequent the property, and enjoyed every minute of it. From the chef's fabulous meals (I am still hoping she will put together a cookbook so I can buy one), to the immaculately clean and tastefully decorated rooms, to the cozy common areas complete with fireplaces and decks, to the stunning views of Kananskis Country. Mount Engadine is guarenteed a return visit from me.
Thanks to Mount Engadine for a great trip!

    • Liked — the staff, the food and the moose
    • Disliked — As a professional photographer, I would of liked a spot light in the early/late part of the day so I could photograph the moose better, granted most guests are not pro-photographers, so I can't really hold this against the lodge.

“Excellent lodge, top-class service”

Recently stayed at the Lodge for three nights as part of a tour of the Rockies and BC. The isolation of the lodge is one of the many attractions. Facilities, service, location and management of the operation are all first class. The experience of the management team elsewhere in Canada and abroad has clearly contributed to the success of this establishment. Meals are included and all were of the highest standard. Cannot be faulted as a place to stay when exploring the stunning local scenery and activities.

We had a fantastic four days here ! It's a real gem of a place.

Lovely location, great room ( book the Moose suite if you can!) Great hosts who make everyone feel welcome and go out of their way to help.

I'm not going to say much more in case too many people discover this place and we can't get booked in again!

A real Hiker's paradise. Definitely not for the room service/ minibar types. Only thing we would change is the communal dining - it's hit or miss whether that works sometimes - I guess we prefer optional socialising but it's a small point and everyone is different.

There are renovations planned which will no doubt improve the lodge even more - we wish Chris and Shari Lynn all the best!
