We stayed here as a party of three in a two bedroomed apartment for four nights. We landed from the UK at Calgary and driven to Canmore - it's about one and half hours away at Canada's low speed limits.
We were wowed by the apartment, terrific mountain views, superb bedrooms, both with bathrooms (one with jacuzzi) and a big kitchen with top rate fittings, better than we have at home! There were three LCD TV's in the apartment. We ate in the apartment two nights- easy, there's a large Safeway in Canmore and out at restaurants in town the other two nights.
We didn't try the hot pool outside the block nor the gym (which is quite small). The hot pool was pretty popular. There's plenty of parking here including the basement.
The staff always sought to be very helpful and we particularly enjoyed reminiscing with 'Lady Poynton' about old times in the UK. We didn't experience the scale of room card problems mentioned by previous years TA visitors as we'd been tipped off how to manipulate them on withdrawal.
Canmore is a super little town with some character still about it (unlike Banff which is just a tourist trap). It's a pleasure to stroll the Main Street, take a walk by the Bow River, use the Post Office and chat to the staff, shop for cheap clothing, stop for a coffee and later dine well at Muriettas. We loved it and took the opportunity to have a 30 min helicopter ride on a fantastically clear day over the local mountains - exhilarating and expensive but worth it.
