The Drake has a great location for walking the wonderful town of Canmore. It is a basic inn/motel, clean but nothing fancy. We were there during an unusual hot spell, and air conditioning would have been a nice option. Windows open to allow ventilation, but our room over looked the pub patio, so it was a bit lively, but not too bad.
The Drake, while clean, could use updating! There was coffee in the room which is great, but to get your ice bucket filled, one had to go to the attached bar, and the bar keep was not too warm to the idea, so an icemaker for the Inn would be helpful.
Breakfast at the Inn office was your basic cold cereal, toast, juice and coffee.
