We stayed at Sunny Point in early august and enjoyed it. Our favourite was the waterfront; which was great for swimming and hanging out.

The place is very much geared for housekeeping cottages, even though they have a few "inn" rooms, which we stayed at. Perhaps if we stayed at a cottage we'd be giving more than 3 stars....but we found the inn rooms to be overpriced. While we paid $160, it should have been more like $120 considering the room was somewhat dated and there is nowhere to even get a cup of coffee - let alone food. You can't even drink the water from the tap. The inn rooms do have kitchen facilities however.

They have lots of activities which is good - tennis, ping pong, basketball, kayaks, canoes etc. Though the non water related activities are a bit of a walk inland and being in the bush, are prone to mosquitos etc.

To summarize - nice property - looks like a great place to bring the kids and have a cottage and boat etc. But for a couple looking for an inn room - I'd look elsewhere. Unless you can get a better price.

A friend told me about the resort and couldn't stop singing it's praises. So when it was time to book a vacation we decided to stay in Ontario and try Sunnypoint. Part of the allure is definately the fact that it is a pet friendly resort (although from the cleanliness you wouldn't know it!!). The amenities are incredible. Not only do you have what seems to be a little part of your own private oasis, but you are given a boat with a motor, and there are plenty of activities for big kids and little kids a like!! The experience was so awesome that it has made us rethink our annual trip down south and we have already booked for two weeks for next summer and are considering going there again this winter. I would highly recommend this resort to anyone wishing a truly remarkable vacation!!

We have vacationed in many places both in Canada and the USA and I found Sunny Point to be one of the best. It is well run, very clean, quiet and one of the most beautiful landscapes one could wish for. The staff looked after all of needs and provide information about the area and were to shop. I found Sunny Point on the internet . I was very impressed with how clean the cottages were and how well kept the grounds were It was child friendly and there was many things a person could do there. I have already booked for our next year 's vacation. The cost was very reasonable considering what we had to pay at some of the places we have stayed All in all I give it a five star rating

We have stayed at Sunny Point during the summer for the last 3 years.
The grounds are beautiful, the staff are helpful and friendly and the cottages are exceptionally clean.
The children spent hours playing pingpong in the games room. They also loved the waterfront and beach and especially enjoyed the canoes and paddleboat.
It's like having your own cottage in Muskoka with none of the work !
The resort is also pet friendly which is an added bonus for our family.
Sunny Point is our annual "cottage" vacation destination !
