The excellent service began immediately with the initial telephone call. Upon arrival we were treated with courtesy by a professional staff. The suites are clean and spascious. The continental breakfast is just right for professionals on the go. The pool and fitness areas are clean and are of average size. The hotel is conveniently located on Hwy # 11 at Hwy # 60. Restaurants and retail are within walking distance. Just a short drive to Algonquin Park. Moose, Deer and other wildlife are often seen from Hwy # 60, in the area of Algonquin Park. "Fantastic..." A big Thank you to John and his staff.

We stayed here one night in September 2007. The kingsize-bedroom was clean and had a adequate size. The motel is at Hwy 11, just a few minutes drive to downtown Huntsville. The free continental breakfast was okay. Staff was friendly. We can recommend this motel for a stop-over and a starting point for the Algonquin Park.

We stayed in a king suite w/jacuzzi&fireplace for two nights. The hotel appears to be new and is on a retail estate just outside Huntsville, so no pretty views but it's very centrally located - even Algonquin Park west entrance is only about half an hour away. Our room was very spacious and clean, but it's a shame the designers went with what can only be described as an '80s brown mottle' interior finish for the rooms which makes them seem dark and a bit gloomy. Front desk staff are very friendly and helpful - as previous review we followed their recommendation for '3 guys and a stove ' which looks like nothing much from the outside but has amazing food and service on the inside! As for the free continental breakfast at the hotel - it's okay if you're planning on having a decent lunch - there's cereal, toast, bagels, muffins, some fruit and boiled eggs. All served on polystyrene plates...
Overall an adequate hotel which could do with improving some small details, especially as the rates are not so low that this could be passed as a budget hotel.

I took my 6 year old daughter to the Best Western for a few days just to get away at the end of the summer... Deerhurst wanted $300 a night (not worth it) so I decided to try this brand new hotel.

I found it was very clean and new and fresh. the hotel has a friendly, homey type feel to it. The colours are all various shades of warm yellow.

We were welcomed by a friendly front door staff and check was quick and efficient. Our room was roomy and bathroom was bigger than most hotels. There is a nice black granite counter top in the bathroom and the a large tub and nice shower.

The bathroom soap and shampoo was inferior (bring your own). The beds are not really comfortable and I found them hard. Had to go across the street to Walmart for foam. (note: I am, however picky about a soft bed). The pillows were too fat (something I find at all hotels - again I am picky.

Television gets 72 good channels (no PPV movies). The pool is very nice, clean - small with a small hot tub. A deck, plenty of fluffy towels.

The free breakfast is incredible!! For a "continental breakfast" I would say this one rates high. They offer boiled eggs, 5 types of bagels, 6 types of cold cereal, selections of teas, grapefruit, orange...the eating area was spotless and was cleaned constantly the entire time we were here. There is also a tv for kids to watch and a couch and two chairs (a bonus for parents).

This is cleary not a deluxe hotel and it does not offer a ton of ammenities but it is tidy and has a nice work out facility.

I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel and I would go back, especially to those travelling with children.

“Check-in time 'between 3 and 4', closer to 4:30”

New hotel in newly developed area of Huntsville, Ontario in Canada.

Rooms are clean and adequate. Facilities also satisfactory for hotel of this rate.

Staff (including general manager) can learn from some finer hotels how to treat guests. Arrived with husband and small child after a long drive soon after 3 pm check-in time to be told that a room is not ready. Twenty minutes later, three families are waiting for their rooms, while housecleaning is working on cleaning them.

No explanation offered, no compensation offered to keep us happy. An offer of coffee while we waited would have done wonders for the tired travelers.

Desk staff not paying attention to who arrived first and gave a room that we could have used to a family who arrived later. The clincher was when she asked us "how many we were" because a room had become available (that none of us waiting could have used). Why they would not prioritize the cleaning of a room that we could use manifests how little attention the establishment pays to customer satisfaction.

After waiting forty minutes, asked "just when is check-in time" where we got the lame response "between 3 and 4". The only place I know where check-in time is posted as 3, but is actually a range....
