I stayed at this "resort" for one week for a corporate business conference. There is nothing resort-like about this entire place! The front desk ladies were so rude and unpleasant. If you ask them for help, they act as if you are troubling them which is such an uncomfortable feeling.
The rooms are so drab and run-down, I'm surprised I didn't find any critters around (although I'm sure they were lerking). They still have tube TVs. The bathroom in my particular room seemed to have been renovated; however, I know that my business colleagues were not so lucky. Worst shower heads in history! There are stains on furniture and comforters, disgusting. And forget about sleeping... the walls are PAPER thin!! I could hear my neighbor using their restroom/flushing (YES!! GROSS!)
The gym is only open beginning at 6:30 AM each day which is totally too late for people staying there for business. The girls who work at this front desk are equally rude and unaccommodating to guests with questions. My collegues went to workout in the PM and they said the equipment is falling apart and that they almost hurt their shoulder because of broken/rewelded weights. Dangerous! Don't let your teens visit this space for safety reasons!! (I personally paid $15/day to visit a gym that was 1.5 miles away and it was fantastic!!)
The conference food, wait staff, and catering director are the only reason I didn't give my rating a "1". They accommodated my food allergy and were very kind and attentive to all conference attendees. Food was decent too.
Overall this place is a dump and the only reason they have business is because there is nowhere else to go in Alliston. I can't wait until someone smartens up and opens a new hotel/REAL resort so they can take all of this hotel's undeserving business!
