Days Inn Surrey would be a good hotel at any price, but at the bargain price (US $113/night when I was there) it cant be beat. Nice size rooms, furniture functional and in good shape, looked to be new carpeting. My room included a couch which was also a sleeper, desk and chair, easy chair, stereo TV as well as the comfortable queen size bed. Immaculate bathrooms. Only drawback was that the air conditioner was loud. No ambient noise from other rooms. Friendly staff and efficient housekeeping.
Hotel also has two restaurants (one for breakfast/lunch, another for fine dining at night) plus a sports bar and liquor store. Food was good and prices reasonable.
Hotel is located right at the southeastern terminus of Vancouver's Skytrain- King George station, about a 35 minute ride to downtown. All you do is walk through the hotel parking lot and up the stairs.
If you are a light sleeper, I'd suggest you ask for a room on the east side of the building - west side faces a six lane highway. Also avoids the afternoon sun in the summer.
Highly recommended for quality and value.
