My Wife & I booked for the Bank Holiday Weekend for our 24th Wedding Anniversary. Booked a good deal with an upgrade to a suite.Staff were overall excellent,I had requested a special meal for the Saturday Night via e mail as a surprise, and it was organised with the minimum of fuss. Single Red Rose at the Table (nice touch) Restaurant very good for both evening and Breakast, Staff very attentive.Good access to all the attractions ,but the open top bus stop just outside the hotel if you need it! Backroom staff very helpful also, they did go "the extra mile" to make our stay a pleasure, despite a few hiccups which they attended to in a very professional manner, full marks to them. I would Highly reccommend this Hotel to any potential guests.

This was a good value for money hotel, lovely rooms, comfy beds. A little bit out of town but nice to walk along the harbour, some good restaurants nearby. Great breakfast room. Didn't appreciate having to pay for the morning paper though!

“Nice hotel”

Ramada Plaza Bristol

1 Sep 2007

We enjoyed our 3 night stay. The hotel has an odd exterior. No front door and you have to tackle car park and barrier to get inside. Then steep stairs and low ceilings to get inside.
But the staff were great. Initially our room was smoking and noisy and really horrible. We had requested a non smoking and quiet room. So we contacted reception and they apologied and put us into a lovely room on 4th floor. The bed was superb, but to my surprise and dread I woke in the night to find the pillows were feathers! I am allergic to feathers and ashmatic! I told reception who said they would sort if if they had any ordinary pillows, but werent sure if they did!! A hotel with no pillows? But they did replace them with pretty crude and minute pillows. The health club was pocket sized! But the staff were really nice. The food was excellent.A nice end was the hotel kept our bags for us as we had late flights.

“Great Hotel!”

Ramada Plaza Bristol

1 Sep 2007

Stayed in this hotel for 2 nights. I had booked an executive room and was not disappointed-the room was spacious, clean and very modern, with a view over the St Mary Redcliffe Church. Dinner (on the 1st night) and breakfast were included in the price and neither could be faulted. Making the stay very good value.
The swimming pool and gym are a bit tired but fine for relaxing in and the sauna and steam room were a bonus.
The staff were very friendly and helpful.
I would definitely recommend this hotel to others and stay here again in the future.

Stayed here last weekend, Hotel is a 5 min walk from Temple Meads station, not much to look at from outside but nicer inside. Parking is available for £3.50 a night, quite secure.
I checked in 1 1/2 hours early and receptionist was very helpful and friendly (Emma) I had booked via superbreaks a single room for £45 including breakfast so was pleased to be allocated a double room on the 5th floor (room 518)
The room had a king size double bed, 2 chairs, desk, iron + board, hairdryer, nice touch of the free waters, very clean and comfy, good bathroom too. Very impressive plasma widescreen tv with plenty to watch and internet keyboard (£19.99 for 24 hour access to films and internet!)

The hotel has a nice Arts bar but its very expensive £4.75 for a large bottle of water!!! The Kiln is in the middle of the restaurant - nice setting and well decorated. Did not eat there as they did not cater for vegans. Breakfast was included otherwise id of gone elsewhere as apart from fruit and bread and beans, tomatoes and mushrooms no vegan choice - same at most major hotels. Fine for vegetarians. Good swift service and clean there.

My air con did not work, I was offered a different room but due to a meal reservation I did not have time to move rooms.

I went to view the leisure club, very old and dated compared to many hotels but had a small gym and pool (have to walk thru gym to pool) sauna and steam, staff there seemed friendly.

The whole hotel is modern, clean and with the nice bar its a good base for a city break, it took 10 mins to walk to the harbour front where there are good bars to eat/drink in. Shops would be a 15 min walk. I walked back from town on my own, at gone 12am and felt fairly safe.

I would be sure to bok the Ramada again if staying in Bristol, on previous visits have booked the Travelodge but that is so rundown compared to the Plaza, friends stayed there and had lots of problems with security and double bookings.

Sunday checkout is 12pm but you can take the late option of 2pm which is great, I left my bags there and they are stored in a locked room.

I was impressed with this hotel and with the price too!
