This is a great little hotel if you are using it for the purpose of catching a connecting flight as it is only 2 miles from the airport. It would not be ideal for a weekend to Bristol as it is right in the countryside approx 12 miles from Bristol itself with nothing else nearby. The hotel has a free telephone service at Bristol Airport at the information desk so when we arrived from Austria we rang them for our free transport to the hotel. We were told 10 mins and they did pick us up within 10 mins of making the call. Check in was extremely quick and the receiption staff were proffessional and friendly. The room was really nice - TV, internet connection, tea/coffee making facilities, safe, sitting area, tolietries etc. It was extremely clean and tidy - you could even choose from five different pillows if those already in the room didn't suit. There was even a puzzle and games booklet for kids. Although our room overlooked the front entrance it was quiet and we had a good nights sleep. The restaurant was excellent - a good range of choices. We opted for roast guinea fowl with swede mash and roast duck with vanilla mash. There were quite a few veggie options on the menu also and a choice of about six desserts. Two mains and two desserts totalled £40. Very tasty. Breakfast was excellent - a choice of approx 8 cereals, crossiants, toast, dried and fresh fruit, five different juices, yoghurt, jams, tea, coffee and the full English (only scrambled egg though). Not bad for £59 for a room inc breakfast. (Booked on the Holiday Inn website). We had our lunch in the hotel also as we were catching a late evening flight. Again a good selection ranging from sandwiches, soup and ciabattas to burgers, chicken dishes, steaks and again a few veggie options. Lunch was very tasty and large portions also, approx £21 for two mains and two glasses of wine. Although check out is 1200 hrs, the staff very kindly let us put our two cases and two bags behind receiption until we left in the evening. We noticed that when a family with four children arrived, the kids were given a gift by the hotel - either a small raggy doll by the or a goodie bag which seemed to contain several things including a disposable camera. Couldn't really fault this hotel in any way. Will definately use it again if we need to fly from Bristol.
