Just returned from a wonderful 2 night stay at Harptree Court. The House and gardens were beautiful and the owners were extremely welcoming. Would highly recommend a stay at Harptree.

We knew we were in for a treat as we approached Harptree Court along one of its magnificent driveways. As we passed the lake and waterfall we could see the stunning court ahead of us. We received a very warm welcome from Charles who then brought us a lovely afternoon tea with scones which we enjoyed in the very comfortable sitting room - what a treat! Our bedroom was beautifully decorated and very clean and comfortable. It rained during our stay, but that didn't stop us from taking a stroll around the grounds and admiring the daffodil lined driveway. (we needed to do this to walk off our delicious breakfast). Linda and Charles are great hosts and we are looking forward to being able to visit again very soon - hopefully without the rain so that we can play tennis this time!

This was our second stay at Harptree Court but I hope there will be many more. From the hot scones that come with afternoon tea served on arrival in the guests sitting room, to th e selection of DVDs in the bedroom to the loan of a torch and umbrella for the walk to the nearby pub there is incredible attention to detail and good service. The rooms are large and beautifully decorated and come with fruit, biscuits and tea service. The breakfasts are served in an elegant dining room and are sumptious. The house is set in gorgeous grounds, is full of family antiques and has an interesting history. The owners are charming, friendly and available. Both our visits have been in spring when the daffodils lining the driveway are out but we plan to return in other seasons to enjoy the garden. This is what all B & Bs should strive to be.

We were sold on Harptree Court when we saw the pictures and read the description but any doubts were dispelled when we spoke to Linda Hill. She was so charming and helpful that we knew we would love the place.
We did indeed. Two nights in a beautiful country house with hosts who could not do enough to ensure that we enjoyed our stay.
We will remember the cream tea with home made scones and the excellent breakfasts.
A ¨must -stay¨ place.

Just had to write to say what a perfect stay we had at Harptree Court. Starting with the wonderful welcome we received from Linda and Charles. There was a roaring fire lit in the main hall, Charles showed us to the Blue Room which is a lovely twin bedded room and then we had afternoon tea which consisted of freshly made scones served in the guest lounge.
Harptree Court is set in the most beautiful grounds which we investigated before breakfast and what a breakfast!!
There were candles lit on the table and we had a breakfast fit for a king! The attention to detail was very refreshing. We ate
locally at an excellent pub and were taken and collected by Linda (this service must not be taken for granted!)
lovely stay - great service - lovely hosts - great accommodation
lovely grounds - great breakfast -what more can be said except to say "we will be back"
