The hotel stay was part of a 5 day trip with Alfa Travel for about 150 pounds we were picked up relativly close to our home in Liverpool, driven down to Newquay by a very friendly driver who coudnt do enough for all the passengers. He was constantly checking that the temperature was OK ( most of the passengers were elderly) and cracking rubbish but inoffensive jokes.
Arrived in time for the "Grant Mitchell" lookalike manager to welcome us, a quick wash and first of the 3 course evening meals. Great selection for the price and I have eaten worse in some 3 stars hotels! Excellent waiters even if English isnt their first language. Put it this way we went out on the last night (nothing wrong with the Hotel food just a special occasion) and spent half the toal cost of the holiday on 1 meal. (Seafood steak bar just around the corner very good and big portions if you like your seafood)
Entertainment on every night we were there, not our style but did catch some of them and very good they were to. Usual type of stuff, guitar vocalists and multi instrumental vocalist who did a great version of battling banjoes
Room was a bit small but we were only sleeping in there as we were always out on trips (I can't spell excursuins) 2 included in price Eden project and St Ives.
Eden project was amazing but check before you go if you have problems walking or with the heat. It was foggy the day we went but obviously still hot in the bio-domes.
St Ives was very pretty but a bit of a rip off as they will not allow coaches to drop off in the town but make them pay £12 to park and then charge you a pound each way on the park and ride. Yes you can walk it but your unsure of that as you dont know where you are going. Come on St Ives £1 return maybe but each way its highway robbery.
Final point. Best Shower I have had known in a Hotel, very hot if you wanted it that way and a water massage as well
