“Relaxed and friendly deli cafe, serving very tasty food at a very reasonable price amongst very delicious Italian and Spanish de”
We stumbled here by accident, having spotted the bright red tins of Spanish pimenton in the shop window and originally popped in to drool at what was for sale. But soon the deli counter caught our eye, along with the specials board...
We shared a warm mackerel salad with earthy sweet potatoes and a crab mayonnaise salad (lots of the tasty brown meat) with some nutty bread. We demolished this and followed with a slice of tarte au citron - a rich, eggy/flan texture with a sublime short pastry base - and a slice of chocolate brownie with a hint of orange and a dollop of clotted cream. And two cappuccinos. All for £24.
A real gem of a place and definitely worth a visit. We also noticed on our way out that they offer early evening dinners, which we would've sampled if we weren't heading home today.
