“The Blue Hayes Hotel St Ives, excellent for weddings and weekends”

Blue Hayes Hotel

We first went to this hotel back in August 2006 on a very miserable Wednesday (the only day available), our first impressions were wow.

The welcome received was like no other that we have ever experienced,
Malcolm (owner) made us feel like family.

After looking around we decided to hold our wedding weekend at this hotel, the atmosphere, surroundings and the friendliness of the team at Blue Hayes were just perfect. To be honest we were in love within
2 minutes of stepping through the door.

Our wedding weekend started on the 6th of October 2007, the ceremony was on 7th October 2007.

All 10 all of our family turned up at 3pm, there was no panic but plenty of organisation. Again we were all made to feel at home.

At 4pm we had home made cornish cream teas on the terrace, these were
the best we have ever had.

The day of the ceremony went beautifully, Malcolm and his team Elizabeth, Charlie and Sue (just to name a few) made sure that the whole day was organised, even down to the keepsakes and flowers on the tables.

The breakfast, buffet lunch and dinner were superb. The food was to die for, the only complaints from our guests were that everyone had eaten far too much.

The rooms are beautiful, luxurious, stylish and most importantly comfortable and clean with excellant veiws from each room.

If we were to award this hotel with a star rating there would not be enough stars in the universe.

Our wedding weekend was better that we could of ever wished/hoped for. This was thanks to the organisation and hard work of everyone at
the Blue Hayes Hotel.

We stayed for three nights in this small and friendly hotel and were impressed with the whole set up. The rooms were spacious and immaculately clean, the beds and pillows very comfortable. The staff were both very friendly and extremely helpful. Wonderful views from the rooms with a sea view and very comfortable and relaxing inside the hotel. Whilst we did not have dinner at the hotel, The Porthminster Beach Cafe is only a 10 min walk away ( fairly steep climb coming back!) which is difficult to fault. There is a great choice of food at breakfast at the hotel and we were impressed with the quality of the food and attention to detail. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble and we would have no hesitation in recommending this establishment.
A word of caution, it is quite hilly walking to and from the town centre but there is a very good taxi service.

Stayed at this hotel last weekend and had the most enjoyable time. Rooms are very comfortable, clean and spacious. Hotel has a beautiful view over looking the sea. Staff were so friendly and made the stay one of the best ever. Have already booked for next year. Thanks for a great stay, see you again next year.

We stayed at Blue Hayes for 4 nights in November and cannot recommend it highly enough. Our room was fabulous - we had the Bay Suite which was light and nicely decorated with fabulous views over the bay from our bed. The bed itself was huge and comfortable, with really super squishy pilllows. The bathroom was spotless and had a super fast filling bath! As for the breakfasts - they were just amazing, served by friendly staff who were happy to provide any combination of a huge range of dishes.

We were staying for our honeymoon, and on arrival we were not only greeted with a pot of tea, but a bottle of champagne and card, which was a lovely touch. In fact, this hotel really stands out due to the personal touches that seem to have gone into every aspect of the experience that you have here.

We didn't eat at the hotel during the evening, but highly recommend Alba in St Ives. If you are on a tight budget (we were!) they have a really good pre- 7pm deal.

We have just returned from a 3 night stay at Blue Hayes hotel in St. Ives. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel welcome and relaxed.
The hotel, comprising of 6 beautifully presented suites, was an excellent choice for location alone ( we stayed in the Bay Suite overlooking Porthminster beach) but in addition the relaxing atmosphere, friendly service and excellent food enabled us to rewind and recharge our batteries.

The breakfasts were superb with more than enough food cooked to order to satisfy the most discerning of pallates. The dinners , or light suppers as they were described, were so well presented and satisying that we ate in on 2 evenings despite the large choice of restaurants in the immediate vicinity.

In all Blue Hayes is to be recommended to all who wish to enjoy some tender loving care!
