“Gorgous B & B”

Pebble

1 Jun 2008

We've just spent 4 days at this gorgous B & B, if you want chic and not chintz this is the place for you.

The rooms are stylish, we stayed in the Kingsize Bedroom with the most amazing view of the beach and harbour, could have sat and stared out of the window all day.
The rooms have flat screen tv's and in the communal area there is a stack of dvd's for a rainy day and an honesty bar, again with a fab view.

The breakfast menu was amazing, missing them already, Ricky is a fantastic cook. The little touches were nice, for e.g. individual cafetiere's.

Jenny and Ricky are so lovely, it was like staying with friends, nothing was too much trouble.

St Ive's is very pretty and there are lots of other places to go visit near by.

Ricky recommended a coastal drive which we went on, where you could stop off and visit other little beaches. Definently recommend visiting the Minack Theatre, St Michael's Mount and everything on that route.

Hope to come back to Cornwall one day and if we do the Pebble will be where we are staying.

Thanks for a fantastic stay.

“Best Holiday ever”

Pebble

I would highly recommend this wonderful, clean, modern quirky B&B. The rooms were lovely, comfortable beds, immaculately clean though not hugely spacious but you tend not to spend a lot of time in doors anyway.

The bathroom was clean and despite not having a bath, the power shower was wonderful.

I can imagine the rooms getting a bit hot in the summer but we were fine.

The best thing about this B&B are the breakfasts which ranged from full English (vegan option available) to Eggs benedict to waffles, fresh fruit and juice and cereal and delicious coffee. I was with a friend who was vegan and Jenny went out of her way to accommodate him. The Hosts, Ricky and Jenny are lovely, friendly and very welcoming and give you lots of advice on where to go and eat.

This probably was one of my best holidays in the UK and I think this trendy luxurious B&B made it particularly so!

“Perfecto!”

Can't add much to what's been said here already except to say it's one of the best places I've stayed - leagues better than many hotels, let alone B&Bs. Jenny and Ricky are the perfect hosts, the food and rooms are great... oh, and St Ives ain't bad either!

“21st Century B&B”

Pebble

First impressions do last. As soon as you arrive at the Pebble Hotel you feel at home, you feel you should take your shoes off, it's that nice. A warm welcome and the offer of a drink after our 7 hour drive were very welcome. We'd arrived early, but Jenny was accommadating in showing us to our room, after introducing us to her husband Rick.
They are a great couple who are genuinely interested in people, rather than just giving you a room key and disappearing for the rest of your stay. There were times when I'm sure they had lots to do, but we kept them chatting for ages !
The four-poster room was really nice, newly decoratded with quality carpet with a funky, contemporary decor. Little things make your stay all the better like the luxury toiletries, fluffy towels and a good hairdryer (for the wife).
Location is perfect, located on a quiet road, easy access to the town, train station and beach.
We had a quick look through the guest book and almost everyone mentioned the breakfast and how good it was - take our and their word for it, it's a great choice of quality, organic and local produce that would have Jamie O getting up early for !
Bonus is a parking space, St Ives can be troublesome for parking in the town, so this was good to have when you have two heavy bags to carry.
Summary: Modern, welcoming, central, friendly and an overall high standard.
Thank you Jenny & Rick, see you again.
