Chain hotel good location, quality room, comfortable surrounding and a sensible price. Recommended.

Stayed for three nights and found the hotel to be clean, the staff to be friendly and there were some upmarket features for an "Express" - air conditioning in each room (although very noisy), and wifi (BT, Cloud etc).

Had no problems with traffic noise.

The breakfast was a bit of a scrum but that is typical on an "Express".

I would stay hear again if I was in the area.

On the plus side, The rooms are clean, the beds are comfortable and the common areas are OK if a little clinical. The location is OK if you are on business and want a quick getaway onto the motorway. but leisure users are well away from the town centre.

On the downside, there didnt seem to be enough double bedrooms (I hate single beds!), the air-con is too severe, the rooms are very basic in furnishings and decor, there is no bath (just shower) and breakfast is very poor. Nothing cooked - just cereal and toast and all self service/self clearance with not a member of staff to be seen.

The format is fine if the price reflects. But for GPB99, I expect a bit more than this!

I've had good luck with Holiday Inn & again this was a good place. Nice rooms, very clean & great parking. The breakfast room was a bit cramped & the food wasn't replenished quite as fast as I would have liked, but overall it was good, I would stay there again.
