Conversion of ancient mill buildings beside a stream in a steep wooded valley miles away from the world. We went as a large family group and it was very cosy but might be a bit too cosy if strangers were piled in together as the accommodation units are attached to or on top of each other - all except Waterside cottage but it still snuggles pretty close. We had bother with a noisy joist above a bedroom when the upstairs occupants moved around. There are fabulous walks from the door. Kids were entranced with the stream and the bridge but a bit risky for toddlers. We went at Easter and got good use out of the wood burners in most cottages. Oh and there's a lovely large indoor pool with jacuzzi. No mobile reception whatsoever so a true away-from-it-all experience. Some furniture a little past it but goes with rustic atmosphere. Creaky, wobbly four posters best avoided if he hasn't changed them. Pricing structure seems a bit odd. Relatively dear for small units and better value for larger units.
