We recently stayed for a long weekend at the Avalon. We normally stay at larger hotels but were on a budget on this occassion. What can I say except that we were more than pleasantly surprised. Our room was nicely decorated, spotlessly clean and comfortable. The owners were extremely helpful and the location was superb, in fact, we didn't use our car at all. And we certainly enjoyed our full English breakfast at no extra cost.

Had a very nice time here. Easy access to the Hoe and the City Centre. VERY friendly staff and great breakfast would stay there again.
