My wife and I stayed at the Ashgrove for one night whilst visiting our daughter at University. It was my third visit to Plymouth, having stayed at 2 other B & Bs on previous visits. I would rate this hotel as the best of the three.
The parking, as is the case in most of Plymouth, is covered by a permit which costs and extra £3. A warm welcome greeted us,and our room was very pleasant, clean and well decorated. I liked the thoughtful touch of the beautifully arranged towels on the bed.
Situated just off the Hoe, it is in an ideal location, just 5 minutes walk from the town centre.
A lover of a full english breakfast, I was not disappointed by the selection or the quality of the food provided. Indeed, the landlady was very accommodating and even made me fried bread when it is not normally on the menu.
Our stay was very pleasant and enjoyable and I would certainly stay there again and would highly recommend it to anyone.
