“Absolute gem”

Imperial Hotel Plymouth

I stayed for one night last week and I have to say the Imperial Hotel Plymouth is an absolute find.

I've stayed in hundreds of hotels on business and pleasure and this is really one of my favourites. So much so that this is the first time I've ever bothered to write a review here (although I always read other peoples!)

I didn't arrive until about 9:30pm and when one of the owners opened the door, he greeted me by my first name and after checking in, he escorted me to my room and gave me a tour as well as instructions how to use the freeview tv, wifi etc. Some may think this is no big deal but small touches create great impressions and go a long way. These things haven't happened to me in any other hotel i've stayed in for many years (and many were double the price of the Imperial). The room itself was lovely as was the breakfast and the location is superb. So all in all I really recommend staying here. When back in Plymouth I shall be staying no where else.

“Meets all expectations for the price!”

Imperial Hotel Plymouth

Stayed here on business for a single night, and was genuinely impressed by the friendliness of the staff and the relaxing atmosphere of the place.
For the price the hotel is great value and really has many useful features (wireless, free parking) that other more mainstream hotels deem are extras and charge you for.
Bed was comfortable and very clean, as per the bathroom. Some of the furniture was a little worn and could do with updating, but overall it was very good value and would stay again.

An adequate hotel with most of the reviews which praise the Imperial to the hilt at odd with my experience so I can only conclude they must have been written by the owners.

The Imperial is average and adequate - good location, clean rooms and bathroom, decent breakfast - but for £55 a night you can't expect any more.

I did have a good laugh when I was shown to my cold room and told the reason the heating was off was because the hotel was "green" - more like cheap.

Stayed for one night at the Imperial, on the back of the very positive reviews on TA. The location is great. The room was very clean and comfortable and the breakfast was excellent, everything very fresh, with a very wide choice. The staff were very helpful and the whole place had a nice atmosphere.

A beautiful and very smart hotel. We had a gorgeous stay in a spotlessly clean room with lovely decor and everything you could wish for.The staff were so friendly, efficient and welcoming.Nothing was too much trouble including an umbrella accompanying me to my taxi in the rain for my evening out ! Breakfast was delicious with heaps of choice. The hotel is a dream place to stay in a fantastic location.I would highly recommend this wonderful place to anyone. What more can I say.Hurry up and book a stay!
