If you are looking for a clean room, somewhere to rest your bones after a long day on in the Devon Countryside & you want to be right on the Moors then the Moorland is fine. We found the room to be clean & tidy, en-suite was adequate, towels changed daily & bed made. Excellent full English each morning & friendly staff. The bar area was pretty basic but served our needs, ie, wet the whistle after a long day checking out properties in the Plymouth area. If you do book, please ensure you request NOT to have the room above the snooker room ! We had this one & it was a tad noisy until the youngsters, who were no problem at all, made their way home. Be prepared to pay London prices for your beer or wine, very surprised at that but it was the same in Plymouth in ordinary pubs. Fantastic views over the Moors down into Plymouth when the mist lifts ! Would stay again considering the price. Friendly hotel which does need some TLC but that did not spoil our stay.
