“Great Little hotel”

Premier Inn Plymouth - City Centre (Lockyers Quay)

26 Mar 2008

Stayed here just before Xmas, for a business trip. Right on the seafront, but only 5 mins from the center of Plymouth. This one is the older one, there is a newer one just next to it called Sutton Harbour.Nice affilated pub beside it.Car parking is free and plenty of it.You could do a lot worse! :-) Recommended

“Like any other Travel Inn”

Premier Inn Plymouth - City Centre (Lockyers Quay)

5 Dec 2007

Travel inns are mostly the same throughout in style, I had a good stay was in plymouth on business, the internet access i had to pay for £10 for 24hrs. Check in was fast, the room clean and big, very comfortable bed, breakfast wasn't as good as what i have had elsewhere. The meal in the restaurant wasn't much to shout about, didn't feel comfortable alone eating in the restaurant.

“Good position for Plymouth trips”

Premier Inn Plymouth - City Centre (Lockyers Quay)

This is a standard Travelodge style hotel - the position is great and Plymouth town/Hoe/Barbican is within 10 minutes walk. The "All you can eat" breakfasts are very good value and situated in a pub across the car park - where you can also get food and drink as you wish. The walk to Plymouth around the marina is very nice and I would stay there again if I needed to go back.

The hotel is currently being repainted (but does not really cause disruption) and the rooms are clean and modern - mine had a bath which was a bonus! They are a newer form of Travelodge rooms so a decent standard, and you know what to expect.

I am certainly glad we stayed there rather than in one of the other chain hotels which were right in the centre but on main roads....

This is a great location right on the Barbican and within walking distance of the town centre. The Travel Inn is very warm and could really do with aircon but there was a big fan in the room which helped. The room was kept very clean and the staff were extremely helpful and friendly even arranging our daughters teddies on her bed; nice touch.

Asked for a non smoking room, got a smoking one. Asked for an iron / board, went to reception to collect it. plugged it in only to be confronted by plumes of smoke which set off fire alarm. The room smelt disgustingly of smoke to start with, this made it 10 times worse. The bedroom carpet was stained as was the bed cover. The bathroom ceiling sported a wide variety of mould species and was soooo hot it could have doubled as a sauna. Generally these places are good, indeed the one next door (sutton harbour) is very nice, clean and modern. But this one is the pits, it really is.
