“New Years Eve”

We stayed here New Years Eve after hearing rave reviews about this newly opened boutique hotel and were not disappointed. This hotel has a country house feel and we received a warm welcome on our arrival. We stayed in a deluxe spacious room which overlooked the rear garden with a fantastic bathrom and an amazingly comfortable bed. We had the 8 course New Years Eve dinner which was an absolute delight, and the staff were all a credit to the hotel. Despite only living 5 miles away we hope to return to St Elizabeths House very soon.

“Perfect wedding night”

St Elizabeth's House

12 Nov 2007

After getting married in a local fort and having the reception elsewhere, we arrived at St Elizabeths for our wedding night to find an irish wedding in full swing, we were welcomed in (despite there then being two brides) and were made to feel extremely welcome! The Longbrook Suite was superb and relaxing in the two side by side baths was the perfect end to the day.
Great room.....great breakfast.....a fantastic start to married life!

“An absolute gem”

St Elizabeth's House

5 Nov 2007

We stayed in this hotel for one night whilst we visited Plymouth. It excels in all aspects; the rooms are really comfortable and large with Plasma tv’s on the walls and the bathrooms are to die for. We had a wet room shower which was about 10 feet square with a powerful 10” shower rose – very much like those in Hotel du Vin hotels The rest of the bathroom was big too. Speaking to the receptionist, the rooms all have different bathrooms, some have twin baths, others have walk in baths / jakuzzis, which is an interesting feature. Breakfast the following morning was delicious and the 9 acre gardens are well maintained and provide a good opportunity for a brisk walk. All I can is that it is excellent all round and highly recommended. Taxi into Plymouth was a little under £10 each way.

5 stars to this one. This is a magnificent hotel, in a beautiful garden setting. Our room on the 1st floor was unbelievable, so big and the bathroom alone was bigger than many English hotel rooms, with 2 hand basins, 2 full size baths and a huge shower room. This is a new hotel and everything works well, the meals were all excellent, although the service at breakfast was a little slow. Hope to have the pleasure of going back again one day, but if you are in Plymouth,Devon, make the trip out to St Elizabeth's, as you will not be disappointed.

“Fabulous Hotel - great staff, beautiful rooms & well priced champagne”

We stayed a week night - June 2007
This hotel is simply stunning, with quality finishing and excellent attention to detail.
Our room was on the first floor, and was charming. Simple modern design easily blended with the building's original features. The bathroom was fabulous, most probably the best I have ever seen.
The staff were friendly and professional.
We stayed to attend an evening event in Plymouth, and as such needed to leave the hotel at 7pm, the same time service starts for the kitchen, and returned well after the kitchen closed. I was impressed at the hotel placing two salads and a platter of sandwiches in the fridge for us - thank you!
They also arranged our taxi and gave us excellent local advice.

Another really impressive feature is the pricing for Champagne, Krug was priced at approx. £110, close to wholesale price, and the mini bar prices were really great value too. It seems they charge a fair price for the rooms and then do not try and make money from guests on the small stuff, unlike so many other hotels do as standard.

Thank you St Elizabeth's House for a fabulous stay - I will absolutely return and continue to recommend youx
