We booked a quiet double room for 2 nights bed/breakfast and evening meal but ended up booking an extra night and were lucky to keep the same room due to a cancellation. Although there were only 2 of us we were allocated the family room which was unfortunately on the top floor which was a difficult climb up a narrow staircase carrying a suitcase, but apart from that the room was clean and very tastefully furnished with a lovely view of the river. The breakfasts were plentiful with a good choice. enough to keep you going until the evening meal. For evening meal you have the choice of 3 courses selected from the alacarte menu which was plentiful and very nicely presented in the dining room overlooking the river, unfortunately it was dark this time of the year. We found the staff very friendly and attentive and we would certainly visit again.
