This is a large hotel with plenty of free parking, situated less than half a mile from the BIC and a short walk to the shops and beach. The public bar and reception area are spacious and bright and the restaurant / breakfast room is spacious with tables of various sizes. The actual layout of the bedrooms and stairs is very strange. We were on the 2nd floor and had to go up 2 flights of very creaky stairs including 2 doors, then across a large landing, down a half flight of stairs and through another door before finding our bedroom. Once inside, it was fine, not huge but big enough and clean with plenty of drawers, large wardrobe, tea, coffee & biscuits, and hairdryer. The bathroom was huge with a shower over the bath and large bottles of toiletries. Our only complaint would be about the tv. The hotel folder stated that Freeview channels are available but all we got was a message saying there was no signal. We told Reception who sent someone up immediately and he had to reinstall all the channels, saying that he had to do this several times every day for people. From that point on, we had to reinstall all the channels every time we turned the tv on and, over the 4 days, it became quite frustrating. Other than that, everything was fine. The bed was comfortable, breakfast was fine and staff were polite if not over-friendly. We would stay here again if we could get the same offer (£59 for 2 people for 2 nights b&b through Buyagift, so our 4 night break only cost £118).

Thank you for taking the time and trouble of reviewing the Hotel following your recent stay. I am glad to see that you enjoyed your stay but please accept my apologies for the issues you had with the TV channels when you stayed with us was when Bournemouth moved over to digital and for some reason when we retuned our televisions they were updating but once the TV was turned off it was losing the update but thankfully this has now been resolved.
I am pleased to see you will be visiting us again, so we will look forward to seeing you soon.
