we have just returned from a weekend at ullswater hotel for our 22nd anniversary. we were a bit concerned when we realised we booked into a 2* hotel and was dreading what the food would be like, worry was for nothing as it was excellent, and im a chef so i would have no probs in criticsing, but thankfully i did not have any grounds to. service was great and all staff and fellow guests were friendly. would definately recommend ullswater and will be going again next year. it was very central close to the beach and shopping centre and plenty of bars in the area. tracey and andrew from frome somerset.

we had the opportunity to stay at this hotel for our annual cwu conference contrary to what we had heard this hotel is excellent food was fab so much so we have booked in again for june all the staff were great looking forward to seeing them all again grampian cwu amal
