“Ikea meets footballers wives”

Not a bad hotel, but then again it is new. Felt like an Ikea store. The rooms had a cold feel to them, stark white! The mood lighting didn't really do alot and if you are in a standard room, your view is a white brick wall. Sometimes you can try too hard to be modern and funky, but themes like this tend date very quickly. It was felt that although it was "Ikea meets footballerswives", the staff were helpful and you can still smell the paint drying. The bar is good, but packed during the weekends.

I attended an Institute of Hospitality networking event at the hotel in April 2008.
Arriving at the hotel was a pleasant suprise after a hard days work, easy to find, great location for taking a stroll in the North Lanes, light and airy, informal but profesional.
I was greeted by a warm and friendly smile by the reception staff and rather than pointed to the location of the event a member of staff offered to show me up to the reception room.
The room was well equipped, with staff to ensure that every need was met.
Later we used the ground floor bar area where we had a fabulous private buffet served. Great food, excellent service and informal yet professional.
All the staff seemed so proud of Brightons newest hotel and provided excellent service to back up the great product.
Long may they continue to be successful.

Stayed for my husbands birthday - excellent from the word go.

They will park your car for you so need to drive round for ages looking for somewhere to park.

Very friendly staff who show you to your room - very funky all white and contemporary, a large plasm on the wall and a point to plug your MP3 player into (you just need to ask for a cable)

The bar has a DJ playing and the atmosphere was really lively - a good place to start off your evening.

The hotel is situated right in heart of Brighton so everywhere is pretty much in walking distance.

Breakfast was good served in the bar.

We stay in Brighton quite a lot and this by far the best hotel to date.

ONE TIP - A lot of Brighton hotels insist you stay a minimum of 2 nights on a aweekend and even Myhotel do on their own website, we booked through Lastminute.com and that meant we could book 1 night only.

If your looking to stay in Brighton I recommend you stay here

We stay in Brighton a lot and this is by far the best hotel

Whilst scanning the web for somewhere to stay i stubled accross the Myhotels Brighton web site - from there my search was complete - just what i was looking for - new & funky. Booking via the web was pain free. Once i arrived i was not dissapointed - the crips external look of the building hides its wild inside. The room was immaculate with some nice touches such as classy flat screen TV and speaker that i could plug in my MP3 ( though i did have to ask for a cable at reception ) After a sounds night sleep i have a great breakfast. Just a shame the restaurant was not open - but a great excuse to visit again !

“Myhotel in mytown!”

myhotel Brighton

28 Apr 2008

Finally someone has given Brighton the funkiness it warrents without cutting corners on the impementation.

Too often we've seen quirkiness manifest itself in this town with some loud wallpaper or risque paintings, but fun stops when you try and get some hot water from a tap or order room service!

Our standard room at myhotel was certainly different - almost Buck Rogers-like - a futuristic white pod with a big central bed, comfy chaise-long in the window and good shower (no bath). Plenty of hanging space in large wardrobes with substantial sliding doors.

As early visitors, we were led on a tour of two of the hotels suites. Truly great - very decadant with wet room showers or in-room baths. Definately the place for rock stars playing the nearby Dome to stay.

It is a fantastic location. Short walk from the train station. Right in the middle of the brilliant North Laines (have a pint in the Basketmaker's Arms where all the boxes on the walls of the pub contain little messages left by previous visitors).

The MyHotel restaurant was not open when we visited (July 08?) but there's plenty in the area. The bar was in full swing. Really good staff. Really good drinks. Really bad hangover!
