“A pleasant stay”

We stayed there with my sister for 5 days in January. The hotel is opposite the sea with a clear view to the beach. The rooms were clean, warm, with soft beds, a big bathroom, hair dryer and coffee maker. The stuff was very helpful and kind. Our reservation was for bed and breakfast which included fresh coffee, juice, toast and a choice between traditional, vegetarian and pancakes. The pebbles restaurant is nicely decoradated. Our room didn’t have a view to the sea but it was quiet enough so we ve been able to have a good nigh sleep after a hole day at the shops! Overall we enjoyed our stay to the Kings Hotel. I ll definitely choose this hotel again when I visit Brighton again!

“Pleasantly adequate”

Kings Hotel

Great location right on the beach, an easy walk to The Lanes, shopping, and restaurants (We walked to the hotel from the train station, too, but that may be too far a hike for some!). Modern lobby and small restaurant inside. Rooms aren't fancy, but are certainly adequate and clean. Good value - would stay there again.

“Great value for Pavilion rooms”

Kings Hotel

Stayed for 4 nights over Xmas and thought the hotel was great. We had one of the Pavilion rooms - large room, king sized bed, bath and shower AND quiet for Brighton. Room was spotless and fresh towels each day. Staff very helpful and lovely breakfasts. Loved the pancake tower with berries!
Would stay again.

“Great Value”

Kings Hotel

Small hotel, friendly efficient staff. Great location for the towns restaurants & bars. Room was good size and cleaned to a good standard. In view of location we were suprised how quiet the hotel was.

Breakfast was included in the price & was freshly cooked & very good.

    • Disliked — Car Park very small. Room key was attached to a huge peice of copper piping - just to make sure it was handed in when you went out!

“Steer clear at all costs - total rip off”

Kings Hotel

29 Aug 2007

I have never ever stayed in a hotel so intent on ripping off its guests. We were in a group of 5 adults and had 3 rooms - one single, and two doubles. All were stuffy and extremely cramped, not even room to open a small travelling bag and unpack our things! We could barely shut the door to the bathroom, and in the other double room the shower door was broken.

As for the rip-off - at the "complimentary" breakfast the hotel would charge an additional £4.95 per person if you wanted cornflakes with milk...and this wasn't a choice of cereals, just one bowl of cornflakes with a small jug of luke warm milk. This was such a blatant attempt at ripping off guests who were already paying over the odds for poky, ill-ventilated and dated rooms that I would absolutely counsel anyone against going to this hotel. It's not that cheap, and I can honestly say we came home even more shattered and tired from lack of sleep and overheating than before our holiday. Never again.
