The hotel itself is nothing much (though nothing bad) - clean bathroom and standard decor...
We were kept up all of first night by rowdy guests whom the night porter could not control. Apology was fine and we got complimentry breakfast but it took us a while to settele that...
Otherwise, quiet and reasonable - a bit too far away from the (Brighton) city center...

I got a great rate on lastminute.com for the room (£40) during the week for a one night stay. The hotel was in good condition, easily accesible by bus from Brighton train station and very very clean.

Breakfast prices were far too high and there seemed to be a consistent staff shortage. Whether that is a reflection of the more laid back Brighton/Hove lifestyle or the chaos of students returning to university that week (or both) I am not sure. But don't count on platinum service - the hotel receptionist was taking personal calls and I had to go to the bar to carry my own ice up to my hotel room.

Still, I really couldn't complain. I've stayed in far more expensive and larger hotels that were less clean and in relatively poor condition. Just be certain you get a good rate!!

And take advantage of all the great restaurants in the area rather than spend a small fortune for hotel food.

Booked hotel phoning them directly at very short notice (4pm on the day) and charged £60 for a single room incl breakfast. OK, the room was a bit small, but it was nicely furnished and clean and couldn't fault it, although the shower attachment to the bath was a bit old fashioned. The reception staff were very friendly,as were those at breakfast. It was nice to get a frshly cooked hot breakfast rather than the usual precooked variety that had been sitting around for a few hours. The only minor quibble I would have is that the corridors and restaurant were unpleasantly hot. For a wet night in October, it was a refreshing place to stay.
