Booked this Hotel for 1 night as had business in Brighton. Staff were very friendly and helpfull. Rooms comfortable but not what you would think of an AA****. The one thing you should be aware of however is that rooms are not ensuite. My room was accross a landing and down a few steps to toilet and shower room, my colegue however had to descend a flight of stairs to use facilities.
Food good and staff very helpfull and friendly as I said but lack of ensuite means a no return for me. This is not mentioned on website or while booking. Rooms also a lot smaller than those shown.

After reading a selection of reviews on the Hotel I wasn't sure what to expect but I was bowled away at how good the Hotel was. Firstly the location is ideal - only 5 minutes from the pier, a few seconds from the Seafront and restaurants and bars within walking distance. Mainly the service was impeccable - we were greeted on arrival and offered a tea/coffee whilst we checked in - all very efficient. We were then shown to our room and the Hotel facilities fully explained to us. The room was a Standard Double which was very clean, not huge room but ample for a few nights stay - toiletries were ample and towels fluffy. When we needed an ironing board one was delivered within minutes. Before we went out in the evening we had a quick drink in the bar and the same person who checked us in was there and was more than happy to explain all the best places to visit in Brighton. The next morning the breakfast was lovely and they seem proud of their Sussex fair - all well cooked and well presented - and again the staff were really friendly and couldn't do enough to help - all in all a great stay and wonderful introduction to Brighton - well done! My recommendation is don't believe everything you read - check it out for yourself!!

My partner and I had a great weekend in Brighton and this hotel just added to it. The staff were friendly and welcoming. Our meal included in the romantic weekend offer was FANTASTIC. The food was gorgeous and looking at the price they charge for the set meal I would not hesitate in recommending anyone to visit the Bistro. The room was decorated tastefully. We spent our time out and about exploring Brighton so we were not at the hotel in the day, but at night they did offer a bar service downstairs in the reception. The breakfast included in our stay was very pleasant, a standard offering of full breakfast would be expected in most hotels but the food again did exceed expectations.

Just returned from a weekend in Brighton. New Steine Hotel was great and I'd definitely stay there again. It's basically a flash B&B/boutiquey type place with nice decor and some beautiful art in the dining room/bar. Breakfast was nice, although some people couldn't fit in the dining room and had to eat at their sister hotel, just down the road.

Staff were friendly and gave us a complimentary pot of tea as we were waiting to check in. Very helpful.

We stayed in room 202. It was clean and modernly decorated, although quite small. Recommended.
