My wife and I have just returned from 3 days at Millards. The hotel is in a very good location near all the main attractions. The rooms are clean and very well presented. We stayed in room 4 at the back of the property for 2 nights but Tony upgraded us to one of his superior rooms with sea view for the last night at no charge. All the staff are friendly and helpful and Tony's relaxed, friendly attention to detail was a pleasure. Thank you very much.

My wife Caroline and I wanted a short one night break in Brighton, and found the perfect hotel! A week still wouldn't be long enough. As a host, you could not meet a more perfect one than Tony, he even offered to buy me a pint when I strolled past the local pub, a true gent!
As for the hotel, we could not find fault with it. The room was absolutely lovely, and the bed was so comfy we struggled to get out of it in the morning. I would imagine Tony has this problem with a few guests, which is what makes the breakfast times all the more enjoyable.
The breakfast was 10 out of 10, as ever Tony ensured we had everything we needed, and I have to say that in my work I stay in different hotels all over the country every week, and I have never had a better breakfast than this.
Stay here, I promise you that you will not regret it!

“Sea Views and Sausages!”

An excellent location for a great hotel. It is just minutes from the pier and we really did have that all important sea view.
The hotel was clean and tidy and the rooms presented really well.
We were made to feel very welcome despite arriving 2 hours later than we expected and being just a little bit fraught!
Our room (number 4) was bright, airy and with a lovely big bed! The good news is that breakfast is not served from the crack of dawn until half past, but at a more civilised time of between 0900 and 1030 - just what the doctor orders on a relaxing weekend away from the hustle and bustle.
I guess it was a little unusual to be asked to be seated and wait to be seated before breakfast. However, Tony has the daily newspapers on hand, so it is actually quite nice to have a few moments catching up with the news of the day before being called to your breakfast table.
Tony ensures that everything is ready and waiting for you. The coffee is fresh, the tea fresh and the toast is still steaming. The breakfast (and I have to apologise to Weightwatchers but it was a full English breakfast each day) was excellent. I think it is the little things that make a difference - proper HP sauce and Heinz tomato ketchup. The breakfast was fantastic, hot, fresh, lean tasty bacon and absolutely gorgeous sausages
The art work around the hotel does give it an arty feel but it is not pretentious. This is not a gimicky boutique hotel - it is a good, clean, value for money hotel with great service delivered by a dedicated host

Just returned from a terrible stay at Millards, not sure where the much praised landlord was, I was eventually met by a half-asleep stand in who proceeded to show me to a dirty, badly ventilated, tired old room, a throwback to what gives British coastal hotels a bad name.

Breakfast served 9-10:30, handy when you have work to go to! I stay in Brighton at least 2 nights a week with work and have until now not been driven to write a review on any. Millards roused me from my slumber, there are many better places to stay in Brighton.

Paid 75 pounds per night, never again!
