I stayed in Millards for one night last weekend with my partner and we were both pleasantly surprised with the hotel.
Set on Broad St and a 5 min walk from the beach with sea views and close to all of the delights of Brighton, the hotel is in a great location.
After speaking with the owner Tony a few times on the phone before arriving to arrange our stay, he greeted us warmly on our arrival and showed us around the hotel with such pride, warmth and a genuine hospitality that it really did make us feel special and was a great start to our weekend away.
We were upgraded to stay in Room 4, with fabulous bay windows, a great view and a huge bed. Breakfast in the morning was a hearty full english served by Tony himself.
I would recommend this hotel, I have never stayed in a hotel where you are made to feel so welcome and will most definitely be returning in the future!

My boyfriend and i have jus come back form a 3 night stay at millards hotel and we can honestly say we had no complaints at all. by booking through the website we managed to take advantage of a 3 night offer but only paid for 2 so we enjoyed a lovely long weekend in Brighton.

We stayed in room six and were pleasantly suprised when we saw that the room looked exactly like it did on the internet. the bed was massive and comfortable the bathroom(shower only) was clean and fresh looking. Also the art work gave the room a really fresh contemporary feel.

Tony gave us a warm welcome and after a few explanations of things (i.e breakfast time , which keys for which doors) he showed us to our room and even carried my luggage up!! he left us to enjoy the rest of our stay but we felt we could contact him at any time if needed.

The breakfast was lovely and tony was very attentive and served us personally which we felt was very endearing.Tony has a place to be proud of in Millards and it shows but he has no airs or graces about him he is a warm and friendly host who we liked as much as the lovley surroundings.

Myself and my boyfriend arrived earlier than check in time but Tony was very welcoming and sat chatting to us while the room was finished off, he very kindly upgraded us from a standard room to the luxury room which was brilliant. The view looked down to the seafront and we could see the pier. The superkingsize bed was very comfy and no noise at all outside overnight.
Breakfast was filling and could not fault a thing with the hotel.
Very close to seafront and a quick walk takes you to the lanes and all the pubs and restaurants, ideal location...
we will definately be back to stay here again (when the weather improves!!)
Tony makes the stay very enjoyable and very knowlegeable about where to go etc...
I would stay here again without doubt and have already recommended it to our friends.

After spending 2 nights at Millards hotel, I would be more than willing to recommend this hotel for future visitors to Brighton. Tony, the owner, was very kind, and helpful with not only parking passes, but which attractions to visit and just making sure we were comfortable in general. I can see why some reviews on here would say he was a bit different - he did have a very slow and percise way of speaking - but was in no way rude or offensive. He meant well in everything he did.
Breakfast was fantastic! You were served just like you were in a restraunt, and had plenty of options.
After coming back to our room after a long day of touring, we came back to a warm, cozy, clean, prestine room, with soft music playing in the background!!!
The location of the hotel was perfect. Only seconds away from the beach, and close to all the shops and restraunts. On a one way street though, so be aware of this if driving. We had no problem finding a parking spot - in fact, we got one just one building away from the hotel!
We were warned by tony that the hotel was old, so we might hear some noise, but we honestly never heard anything. The only thing we heard was the seaguls from our open window!
All in all, a fantastic stay- definately staying here if I return to Brighton (which is a fantastic city by the way!).
Excellent value for money.

My boyfriend and I stayed here just before Christmas for a couple of nights and had a very pleasant stay....

We stayed in room 4 which was very clean and had everything we needed including a great power shower and very comfy bed.
(The lighting in the bathroom was quite bright so whilst in town I bought some tealights which made a lovely setting for my bath after a hard days shopping!)

When we arrived I was dissapointed to hear that a full breakfast wasn't available due to the chef being off for Christmas. I did mention this to Tony on the last day of our stay and he took some money off of our bill which i thought was fare enough. I have high standards when staying in hotels and something like this would normally get to me but as everything else was to our liking it really didn't matter.
I must recommend that if you do have any issues when staying somewhere you bring it up before you depart so that it can be rectified, more often than not it does pay off!

The hotel itself is well situated and we managed to find somewhere to park relatively close by (£5 for 24hours). It had modern decor and original artworks which was a nice touch.

I'm really baffled by the last two reviews and can only recommend that these people chill out a bit. If you wanted the Ritz then maybe you should have booked it!
As far as hosts go Tony was very helpful, friendly and accomodating and I wish him well for the future.

Kindest Regards
Rebecca & Cristian
