My partener Helen and I stayed at the Whitehouse Brighton from 05.08 for 3 nights. I have to say that from the moment we booked the room, Sean and Katherine were of the utmost help. They kept us informed of all things pertaining to our stay via email. The room was small but we had been advised of that and the modest price reflected it also.To be fair. This is a B & B so residents are out all day and the room size was not at all a problem for us as it was just for sleeping in. We were in the heart of the area and just a short walk to all that we needed. The breakfast menu was of the highest standard and we tried many different selections and never had a complaint to utter. I personally will be recommending this establishment to all my colleagues and friends. We would like to wish Sean and Katherine all the very best and we will be seeing them again next year. “Smallest rooms in England”

From the beginning our stay at The White House was uncomfortable and frustrating. The owners assured us that parking would not be a problem. When we arrived we circled around the neighborhood for 45 minutes! Exhausted, we ended up several blocks over in an underground parking garage where we had to walk back to the B&B to get more money as the overnight charge was 8 pounds. Upon settling in, the owners were defensive about the parking and told us again how we should have been able to find parking along the streets.
Trying to put this behind us, we tried to settle in, but found our room to be so small that only one person could comfortably fit in the room at a time while unpacking. The furniture is so small and low that we felt like giants. The shower was so small that I hit my elbows every time I moved. Also due to the lack of ventilation and cooling, we had to leave our window open, which meant we heard every passerby, every car, every motorcycle as well as a mother seagull who had nested directly across the street from our window. The best part of The White House is their breakfast which is fabulous, especially their salmon and egg. Plus they did carry our luggage up to our rooms which was on the top floor. During our whole trip throughout England this was the worst experience we had as most B&B's were more than inviting and comfortable.

Fantastic place! Stayed here twice already and will definately be back. Lovely rooms, spotlessly clean and right by the sea. The owners are a lovely friendly couple who make you feel very welcome and its the best hotel breakfast ever!
